Elizabeth Peratrovich Day
The
Alaska Native Brotherhood and Alaska Native Sisterhood
take great pride in the late Elizabeth Peratrovich, one
of the finest Native leaders in state history.
The state designated
February 16 as Elizabeth Peratrovich Day, and the
ANB-ANS encourages all Alaskans to celebrate her
remarkable life and her achievements in securing civil
rights for all people. Working through the ANB-ANS,
she changed the state for all time.
